My Ledger Pro · Mobile, web & website

    Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the developer and operator of My Ledger Pro (“we”, “us” or “our”) handles information when you use our Android and iOS apps, our web app (PWA), and our website. My Ledger Pro is the name of the service. The information handled depends on the features you use and your device settings.

    At a glance

Your account and ledger information support the features you use. Our mobile apps display Google AdMob ads, which involve separate advertising data collection. You can manage permissions and available advertising choices, and request account deletion without having the app installed.

    1. Information we handle

    • Account and profile: name, email address, sign-in credentials, and phone number or profile image when provided. If you use Google sign-in, we receive the account information needed to identify you, such as your name, email and profile image.
    • Customer and financial records: customer names and contact details; credit and debit entries; balances, notes, dates and interest settings; loans, member allocations, installment schedules, payments and reminder details.
    • Files and communications: images or documents you upload, including entry attachments and loan documents; messages and attachments where messaging is enabled; and information sent through support, contact or account-deletion requests.
    • Technical information: IP address, device and browser information, app version, request/error logs and notification registration tokens used to operate and troubleshoot the service. Advertising data is described separately below.

When entering information about customers or group members, provide only what you are authorized to use and share. Records you save are sent to our services for storage and retrieval; supported mobile changes may first be stored locally while offline.

    2. Why we use information

We use this information to create and maintain accounts; organize ledgers and calculate interest; manage loans and schedules; deliver reminders, notifications and account messages; generate statements; synchronize supported records; respond to requests; and detect misuse or troubleshoot problems.

We also use website analytics to understand visits and improve the website, and advertising services to display and measure mobile ads. Where a legal basis is required, processing may rely on providing the service you request, your consent, legal obligations, or legitimate operational and security interests where permitted by law.

    3. Google AdMob & advertising

Our Android and iOS apps display ads through Google AdMob using the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google and advertising partners may collect and process IP addresses (including an approximate location inferred from them), advertising or other device identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic/performance information. This supports ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.

Ads may be personalized or non-personalized, depending on your choices, region and applicable settings. Non-personalized ads can still involve identifiers or storage for purposes such as frequency limits, reporting and preventing fraud. We do not configure ad requests to include your ledger entries, customer contact lists, loan documents or statement contents.

The mobile app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to check consent status and present privacy messages when required. Where available, open Settings → Privacy → Privacy choices to review or change advertising preferences. This option appears when Google indicates it is required. Available messages and choices depend on your region and the advertising configuration.

You can also use your device’s advertising/privacy controls, including Android advertising ID controls and iOS tracking permissions where applicable. Changing these settings does not necessarily remove ads or all advertising-related data processing.

    4. Device permissions

    • Contacts: the mobile customer picker reads device contacts with permission so you can select details when adding a customer. Selected details become part of your saved customer record.
    • Camera, photos and files: used when taking or selecting profile pictures, entry attachments or loan documents, or saving and sharing exports.
    • Notifications: used for reminders, account updates and other enabled notifications. Notification text may appear on your lock screen depending on device settings.
    • Biometrics: supported mobile devices can use the operating system’s authentication for app access. We do not receive your fingerprint or face template from that authentication.

You can review or revoke permissions in your device or browser settings. Declining an optional permission can limit the related feature. Permissions and features differ between mobile devices and the PWA.

    5. Cookies, analytics & local storage

The web app uses session cookies for sign-in and browser storage for preferences and supported cached resources. The mobile app stores authentication information, preferences, cached records and supported pending changes on your device. Clearing local data can remove unsynchronized work; uninstalling or clearing storage does not itself request deletion of your server account.

Our website uses Google Analytics to measure visits and interactions. Google may process cookies or similar identifiers, device/browser information and usage data. Contact and deletion forms use Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent abuse; its operation is subject to the Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and Google Terms of Service (opens in a new tab).

You can manage cookies through your browser and learn about Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab). Blocking cookies or storage may affect sign-in and other features. Mobile advertising choices are separate from browser cookie controls.

    6. Sharing & service providers

Information is processed by providers that support hosting, storage, email delivery, sign-in, notifications, analytics, abuse prevention and advertising. These include Google sign-in, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, and the Google services described above. Providers may process information on servers outside your country under their applicable terms and privacy practices.

When you share a PDF statement, entry summary, attachment or message, the recipients and apps you choose receive that content. Their handling of copies is outside our control. We may also disclose information when legally required, to address fraud or security incidents, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable requirements.

    7. Security

Our production services use HTTPS to protect data in transit. Mobile PIN and supported biometric controls help restrict local app access. Protect your devices, sign-in details and exported files, especially on shared devices.

No storage or transmission method is completely secure. This policy does not promise end-to-end encryption, encryption of every local/exported file, or that all third-party services use the same safeguards.

    8. Retention & account deletion

We retain account and saved records while needed to provide the service, resolve requests and disputes, maintain security, or meet applicable obligations. Archiving a customer or entry keeps its history; it is not deletion.

To delete your account, use our Delete Account page or email info@myledgerpro.in from your registered address. After ownership verification, eligible account data is deleted within 30 days, as described on the deletion page. Limited records may be retained for the legal, security and operational reasons explained there.

Deleting your account does not remove copies you have exported, content already shared with recipients, or information independently retained by advertising and other third-party providers under their own policies.

    9. Your choices & rights

You can update supported profile details in settings, control device permissions and notifications, use available advertising privacy choices, export supported statements, and request account deletion.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have rights to access or correct personal data, request erasure or portability, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a relevant privacy authority. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity, and legal exceptions may apply. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

    10. Children’s privacy

My Ledger Pro is designed for financial recordkeeping and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and address it.

    11. Updates & contact

We may update this policy when our features or data practices change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice where required.

For privacy questions or requests, contact the developer and operator of My Ledger Pro at info@myledgerpro.in or use our contact page.
